FAQ about our lip balm:

Q: Is your lip balm gluten free? 

A: Our lip balm does not contain any gluten -- our manufacturing process is completely gluten-free! 

Q: Are your products considered peanut, tree nut, shellfish, and dairy free? 

A: Yes, both our facility and our products are completely free of peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish and dairy. Our oil distributor, which we source our olive oil and coconut oil, is also free of these allergens. 

Q: What is the shelf life of your lip balm? 

A: The shelf life of our lip balm is two years from the date of production. On the bottom of the tube there is a printed 'best by' date showing the month and year of expiration.

Q: How do I open the lip balm tube without peeling off the label? 

A: There is a perforated edge located about ¼” from the top of the cap. If you twist the top of the tube it should break the seal while keeping the rest of the wooden label completely intact!

Q: What's in your essential oils? How are they extracted? 

A: Oregon Mint (Peppermint oil): steam distilled. Parts used is leaves of the peppermint plant.

Lavender (Lavender oil): steam distilled. Organic and parts used is lavender buds.

Yuzu Citrus (Yuzu absolute): solvent extracted with hexane. Parts used is the peel of the yuzu fruit.

Rose Garden (Rose Kazanlak absolute): solvent extracted with alcohol (alcohol used is obtained from vegetal origin by fermentation and distillation of French sugar beet, GMO free). Parts used is rose buds. 

Q: What’s the difference between the Flask Refill Service and the Flask Replacement Service?

A: The Flask Refill Service is for customers wanting to send in their empty flask in for a refill. This type of order will not ship until the empty flask has been sent and then received by us via USPS, UPS or FedEx. The customer covers shipping cost when shipping the Flask Refill Service back to Portland Bee Balm. The Flask Replacement Service is for customers who have broken or lost their flask, which will be shipped out immediately. 

 

FAQ about our return policy & order inquiry: 

Q: What is the return/refund policy? 

A: Portland Bee Balm will accept returns on any product for a full refund. If you wish to receive a refund, please contact us at hello@portlandbeebalm.com. We will create a return label for your order and email it to you. All you will need to do is print out the return label and attach it to the package. Once the return arrives back to us, we will issue you a full refund on your order. Refunds typically take 3-4 business days to fully process. If you wish to only return part of your order, we can do that as well. 

Q: What do I do if I haven’t received my order, want to cancel, or make a change to it? 

A: Please email us at hello@portlandbeebalm.com and we will assist you right away. Please provide your order number so that we can swiftly address the issue. We operate Monday-Friday (8 am to 4 pm). Any email sent Saturday or Sunday won't be addressed until Monday at the earliest. 

 

FAQ about our US and international shipping: 

Q: Which carrier do you ship with within the US? 

A: Most orders will ship with USPS Ground Advantage. We ship orders Monday-Friday. Orders placed after 9 am on Friday through Sunday will be shipped starting on Monday. Please expect shipping delays on federal holidays. 

Q: Do you ship internationally? 

A: Yes, we do ship internationally, though the shipping cost is not covered by Portland Bee Balm for international orders. For the cheapest shipping option, please select USPS First Class International. 

Q: Are there additional fees/taxes for international orders?

A: Possibly, yes. There have been instances when the addressee's country will impose additional taxes/fees onto the package. It is possible that your local post office will hold the package for collection. In this instance you will have to go to the post office to collect your package and pay the additional fees. Portland Bee Balm is not liable for any additional fees imposed by your country. Please reach out to us at hello@portlandbeebalm.com for further assistance if needed.

 

FAQ about our recycling program:

Q: What is the recycling program? 

A:  Ever wondered what to do with your finished tubes of our lip balm? Send them to us for recycling! We even accept tubes from other lip balm brands! We recommend sending at least 15 tubes at a time to make the price of postage you're paying cost-effective. We'll even send you back a free 3-pack for every 15 empty tubes that you send us. Just make sure to include your return address, email address, and your choice of scent on a note within the package you send us. Please mail in your recycling return to: 920 NE 58th Ave. Suite 300 Portland, Oregon 97213 United States.

Q: Can I drop off my recycling return?
